Project Instructions & Rubric

The IT Extra Credit Project is an opportunity to apply theoretical knowledge to a practical, real-world scenario. Completion of this project can earn you up to [X]% additional credit toward your final course grade.

Project Overview

Phase 1: Project Proposal & Design

Outline your technical objective and provide a wireframe or architectural diagram of your proposed solution. This phase ensures your project scope is appropriate.

Phase 2: Technical Implementation

Develop your solution using the tools provided in the Resources section. Your code or configuration must be well-documented and functional.

Phase 3: Final Submission & Reflection

Submit your final project files along with a 500-word reflection on the technical challenges faced and how you overcame them.

Grading Rubric

Criteria Excellent (90-100%) Satisfactory (70-89%) Needs Improvement (<70%)
Technical Proficiency Solution is fully functional with no errors and clean logic. Solution is mostly functional with minor logic errors. Solution is non-functional or contains major errors.
Innovation Demonstrates unique creative thinking or high-level problem solving. Meets all basic requirements but lacks original elements. Fails to meet basic project requirements.
Documentation Highly organized, clear, and professional documentation. Documentation is present but lacks clarity in some areas. Documentation is missing or unprofessional.
